Kyoto: Discovering the traditional Japan
We all know
about Tokyo, the current capital of Japan, but it’s not that common to speak
about Kyoto. I visited Kyoto last summer during my journey around the most
important cities in Japan. I really loved all of the places I had visited but
Kyoto was my favorite by far.
Kyoto is
known for having more than one hundred temples around the city. The most
important ones are Ginkakujin, Kinkakujin and Fushimi Inari-Taisha. All of
these temples are surrounded by forests and gardens that are perfectly
maintained. Also, if you travel to Kyoto, you have to go to Gion. Gion is the street
that keeps best its traditional looks. On this street you can find tea shops, art
expositions and even if you’re lucky enough you might see a geisha!
If you’re
looking for a place that holds its Japanese tradition, you need to go to Kyoto!
You will love it!
